Alyssa Cross

Alyssa B. Cross currently serves as an Associate with Helms Law firm in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Alyssa is an effective litigator who primarily practices civil litigation, contract disputes, and corporate law. Alyssa graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science and later earned her Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Alyssa was actively involved in student-led congressional organizations, where she was appointed Chief Justice for the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature.  A consistent top competitor, Alyssa represented OCU Law in moot court litigation competitions on the New York National Appellate team and the American Bar Association Appellate Advocate team. As a second-year law student, Alyssa’s team won third place in N.Y Nationals. As a third-year law student, Alyssa earned a top speaker award in the ABA Regionals division, and her team won first place overall, advancing them to the National round. In the ABA Nationals in Washington D.C., her team placed as a Top 8 finalist -beating over 108 law schools around the country. At graduation, OCU Law awarded Alyssa with the school’s Top Appellate Advocate Award for her consistent dedication to writing strong trial briefs and effectively presenting the best case for her client in the courtroom. Alyssa was admitted to practice law in Oklahoma in 2023.

Alyssa’s academic career has been centered on research and writing, civil litigation, and appellate advocacy. From being named a top speaker regionally to being OCU Law’s overall top advocate, Alyssa is ready to zealously represent the needs of others.
